In July 1994 a comet called Shoemaker-Levy 9 was approaching Jupiter.
This comet splitted into fragments and these fragments crashed into
our biggest planet: Jupiter. This event was closely observed not only by
professional astronomers but as well by lots of amateurs.
In this archive reports and pictures of this event can be found.
Currently I do not have much new stuff about the impacts but I'm working
to get more.
