Site L was observed briefly thru thick clouds at Palomar at 22:40 -
23:00, and again at 23:30 - 23:35. Lo-resolution 8-14 um spectra
show the site to be 10 times the surface brightness of Jupiter at
10 um, where the spectrum seemed to peak (uncorrected for telluric
absorption!). The site was extended 2-3" along the limb at 10 um
and at 3.6 um. Images were also obtained at 5 and 8.8 um, where the
site was also very bright.
We are continuing to monitor thru holes in the clouds.
Jupiter itself was acquired at 21:35 UT, at an airmass of 5.6.
