Q site visible from La Palma

UT 20:30

The Q impact site is now in view. V band imaging with the swedish solar telescope on La Palma shows it to be very similar to the nearby L site: a central dark spot and a diffuse concentric ring. The relative position between the sites now makes Jupiter look like the man in the moon.

The La Palma seeing is not very good, but it is just about possible to see an elongation of the central dark spot, presumably due to the double impact of the Q fragments.
