Further to our earlier message about the apparent visual sighting of impact
"U" (immediately following the K impact site) we have followed the advance of
site L across the planet's disk. The L shield appears darker and more defined
than the K shield; the L spot appeared more intense than the K spot. There is
a pronounced dark circular spot following and to the north of an extensive
diffuse shield, the immediately-preceeding part of which appears quite a bit
darker than the more southern section of the shield. The large G impact was
also very noticeable on the morning limb at about 1h50m UT on July 22.
