Antipodal hot spots versus seismology

Colleagues at AMOS have reported the apparition of antipodal features in the IR. I would like to know at which wavelength these observations were made. Is there no confusion with auroral phenomena -occuring around +45 deg, but in the same meridian plane as the impac- as reported for example by the HST WFPC2 45 min after impact K ?

I agree with the fact that antipodal features in the THERMAL IR can be related to the focussing of pressure waves. This focussing starts 2 hours after the impact, and reaches its maximum 3 days after, the increase of signal varying quasi linearily with the time (Lognonne et al, Icarus, in press). Non linear contribution (very high amplitudes) is required to observe a constant feature like some hot spot.
