Plume phenomena were observed at Calar Alto Observatory around the impact time of Q2 and Q1 fragments. Two spot-like features appeared over the impact limb of Jupiter around 19:44 UT and 20:20 UT with the latter one considerably brighter than the first feature. They were simultaneously identified by direct imaging in the 2.3 and 1.7 um and by fast photometry in the 3.1 um range. A further spot appeared over the limb around 20:13 UT, being of medium brightness compared to the other phenomena in the 2.3 um filter.
